After wading through numerous posts about the F1 race and Speedvisions
coverage I began wondering if F1 had it's own newsgroup or not. I
thought this newsgroup was for sims. What gives.

Thanks for such insight, now I am left to ponder the meaning of these other
newsgroups with a full brain.

Are you pondering what I'm pondering, Pinky?

Often happens when you share a brain.

Have you spent any time in r.a.s.f1 lately?  I dropped out about two years
ago... the F1 discussion in this NG is far superior to r.a.s.f1

Before I left r.a.s.f1 it seemed every thread degraded into a Schumi (or
Mika. depending on your affiliation)  bashing marathon.

Dale.

No I haven't but that is my point if I wanted to discuss F1 I would expect to
go there not to RAS. I may be out of line but it seems the F1 discussions kind
of took over this weekend and I have been a lurker here for the last 5 or 6
years.

IMO, rasf1 is a complete mess. rasf1m (moderated) is better but a bit too
subdued ;)

Whenever anything happens in F1 it is usually talked about here, same thing
with NASCAR or CART.
Best advice is to skip the posts you're not interested in. Personally, I
like to read about it here because the people on this group have very
similar interests to me.

eheh I've been away for a few days and decided an hour ago to catch up on
what's been going on at RAS. This thread made absolutely no sense to me as
I'd missed (at first glance) the one single lone inobtrusive F1-based thread
that is apparently causing Mr Benette so much stress....
