How good is Collin McRae Rally, when used with a good force feedback
wheel?

Has anybody noticed an increase in their performance when using it
with FF?

wheel?<<

I've played CMR once on my mate's computer. He had a FF wheel and I thought it
felt great. I initially tried it with it on and half way through the stage he
knocked it off and I don't think it really affected my performance. I really
needed more time to get used to it, I guess

It's just about the best implementation of FFB at the moment (at least with
the MS Sidewinder FFB Wheel). In fact it's so good that at first your times
will actually go down as you have to struggle & contend with a new
dimension. However, after a bit of practice you'll be zipping along as good
as (if not better than) before. I think the telling comment, however, was
when one of my mates was ribbing my brother about his times actually being
worse with the FFB wheel than my mates with a standard joystick.

Answer:

"I couldn't give a shit if I lose. It's so much more fun like this I'd
rather lose than go back to feeling as though I'd been deprived of one of my
senses and go back to a none FFB joystick!"
