Hello,

I installed GPL under XP, including the official patches (GPL 1.2, fix and
D3D). It runs fine, but sometimes I get kicked out. The transition between
screens in the menus is terribly slow, it takes seconds (or more) to go to
setup, racing, etc. Anyone a clue ?

I had this when I first installed XP.  I can't remember at what point this
stopped happening, but my ownly advise to make sure that you're using the
very latest drivers for everything you have in your PC - quite importantly,
make sure that the soundcard has the latest working XP driver that you can
find.

Other things to try are to right click on gpl.exe, click the compatability
tab and then try playing with these settings.
