I've been betatesting this for a couple of days. And I've found a
couple of problems.

1. Can't get it to run with split axis.

2. A major problem. The wheel turns very hard to the left when I turn
ever so slightly to the left. Making driving impossible. Try small
corrections on the Monza straight and you'll probably see what I mean.

The no.2 problem above really makes further testing impossible.

Everyone who downloads these drivers should try to help Logitech
getting these driver to work with GPL by reporting all problems to:

Even if you encounter the same problems as I do please report them too
so that Logitech understands it is a common problem.

Cheers,

/Martin

Does this trick still work with the new drivers?

Borut

P.S. Just double-click the files, restart and try again!

After initial install of the drivers and following the install routine word
for word (with regards to when to plug in the wheel) I have no problems,
split axis or single axis works great. If I reboot though it puts it in
single axis and if I select split axis the pedals go dead and the only way
to get the wheel to work properly again is to uninstall and reinstall the
drivers. As long as I don't reboot after I install them everything works
great! Guess this puppy stays running till Logi sorts all this out! Heheh.

So far, no problems for me. I am running split axis with GPL, which is the only
game I use. The force feedback was initially far too strong, so I went into
core.ini and changed the force setting. It is now:

max_steering_torque = 500.000000

Overall, the LWFF feels a lot like it did with force enabled in Windows 98. I
haven't rebooted the PC yet, so I don't know if the settings will mess up like
someone else reported. With Windows 2000, I don't expect to be rebooting any
time soon. My up time is a couple of months already. Had a power cut yesterday,
and the Hibernate function worked perfectly.

problems,

Oops. Guess I didn't read the install instructions closely enough. You
mean you should plug it in at a certain time?

No problems with spikes in the forces?

Both I and a friend have these problems.
