For those w/3d cards, you can get a "beta" copy of the Motoracer
"Polygon Patch" here:

It definitely speeded up Motoracer on my DM3D -- Of course you need to
be sure it's set to FILTERED in the options ...

But did it turn all the other racers the same color and give you only one color
 bike to choose from?  Maybe this is an update, but I'd heard that was a
 problem with the polygon patch.  TIA.
