I had an old account with them so I entered my nick and the checked the box
to send me my forgotten password by email. I received it right away but
when I tried to enter the server the authentication failed.
Could this just mean there are other problems on there end that are
unrelated to my password (which they just sent me).

Just adding this; the authentication actually failed by being "timed out"
so could this be just because the server is down etc. ?

Apparently it is. Been trying to connect myself since NR2002 has
just been released in Australia. No luck.
