Hi everyone,
I only know the Indy car circuits from what I see in the races on TV,
but most of them seems to be quite narrow and to offer just a few
good places to overtake; of course I am talking about road courses.
Yet the Indy drivers manage to overtake each other and generally have
fun quite a lot (I think it is down to weight, brakes and general
performance and rules).
one thing I'd like to see is Indy cars racing on a good european
circuit. Do you imagine an Indy race at Monza? I think they will
be able to overtake each other even at Lesmo (just like F3 cars
sometimes do) !
Unfortunately this is impossible in real life ... but not on a computer.
I think it would be a good thing to publish a set of tracks to use
with ICR2 (and even NASCAR or GP2 for that matter). It should be
quicker to do than compiling a new game at all (but I could be wrong
here), and there could be a sort of fantasy world champion with
cars racing on all the favourites circuits (Monza, Hockenheim,
Nurburgring, Zeltweg, Paul Ricard to name just the first european
that springs to my mind), and maybe have 25-30 tracks per season.
Having a simulation as close to real life as possible is fine, but
I see no reason not too implement on a computer things which are
impossible to do in real life but that would be undeniably good.
I hope you're not too bored now ...
Bye,
Luca
