Can't seem to get gpl to work with windows2000 and a 3dfx card .I've got a
voodoo 3 2000 pci card with 128 mb/ram running on a pentium 366. When I try
to load up the game I get the 3dfx logo and then the sierra startup screen
then the application crashes to the desktop. What is the best drivers and
where to get them for gpl and voodoo. Thanks...

You have to use the George Smiley's glide-o-matic -patch to get it to run.

GPL will only work on my Win2K system when patched to v1.2.  The orginal 1.0
version just shows the start-up screen the drops to the desktop as you
describe.

Just in case you don't know what or where the 'George Smiley Glide-o-matic
patch' is, try
http://home.swbell.net/gmsmiley/

Well, when I was using W2000 last year for a while, it certainly worked for
me.
Are you sure that:
1) you're using the 1.2 patch, and
2) you've followed the instructions in the readme with the smiley patch?

Using the D3D patch (and subsequently running in D3D) was the only way
I could get it to run on Win2k with Voodoo 3 on my old work system.

Here's the one thing that caught me out for ages:
The files are not compressed/in a compressed folder, are they?
