NR99 AI

Does anyone know if the AI changes included in NR1999 are in the *.EXE files
or just Papyrus *.LP file changes? I'm trying to eliminate the "slow downs"
at the start of races and thinking about copying some of my N2 *.LP files
into the NR1999 tracks. The only reason I haven't done this yet is because I
like the way the AI races, just not how they get started!

Maybe I should just copy the "pace.lp" file from N2 and see if that helps.
Anyone know about these things?

Thanks,

Sal V.

There is something you need to consider before proceeding :

Getting the AI to race side by side aggressively and avoiding the restart
slowdowns are at opposite ends of the equation.  The slow downs are
typically caused by cars getting side by side and then squeezing down into
the preferred lane.  What I have found is that by getting the cars into line
sooner (or by providing better side by side lanes in the corners - which is
sometimes hard to do) - the slow downs can be helped a lot.  The best
results I have had are at Darlington - where the track is narrow and there
actually are not too many good passing spots.  I can get all the way around
the first lap without ever hitting the brakes there - wich my new AI.

I have not modified NR99 AI yet - but I will certainly try and adapter
AI's - starting with Darlington - which I guess will have to be reversed.

If the track has been updated from N2 to N99, there may be a problem if you
copy the .lp file over.  The AI may not know what to do at the updated
sections of track, which could cause massive wrecks, or cause the AI cars to
just stop there, or run into walls, etc.
