Use the built-in software, and don't install anything else.  If you upgraded
with Windows XP, for instance, uninstalling the 3.02 software first and then
adding the sidewinder back after the install is fine.

The built in software is pathetic. The wheel just about works in some games.

Ok, how can the MSFFW (USB)  be XP 'Certified' when they won't even update
the 4.0 software so it doesn't *** at installation that it may not be
compatible ?

I guess the Certification rules apply to everyone but Microsoft themselves.

Correct, RedTed.  The built-in MiniDriver is pretty weak.

There are an awful lot of games where it won't work.

The biggest problem is the "Mash the brake to go forward" syndrome :)
