Radeon 9800 Pro - great, but GPL is dead...

Hi!

I finally upgraded from a GF4 4200 Ti to a Radeon 9800 Pro.
So far so good, but GPL only gives me the first menu, then drops
back to the desktop...

I installed the newest Catalyst drivers. Would reinstalling GPL
help? (Don't want to do it without info, lots of addons installed ;)

Ronny

If you have changed from an NVidia card to an ATI card.....
You probably ran GPL in OPENGL.  For ATI cards you want to run in D3D.

Do you have the D3D patch installed?

Did you update your CORE.INI file to use the D3D patch?

GPL runs fabulously on a 9800 - I love it - 6xAA 16xAF  :)

If you need more help.... just say so.
Cheers

Thanks for the tip, but I simply screwed up while editing the
files, or something...

Installing the all-in-one patch fixed it again.
