NFS SE

Hello all, I bought NFS SE after having seen the original at the local auto show and
falling in love (Why did I wait until SE came out? Probably because I thought SE
would be even better! :)

However, I've been having a boatload of problems with it, some small, and others have
probably led to the formationb of a nice ulcer...

1) Installing in DOS? No chance, the DOS/4GW blurb come up twice and freeze city.

2) Installing in Win 95, installed DirectX drivers and have had nothing but headaches
since (random freezes, crashes during setup, calls for more memory)

I finally got the darn thing working under Win95 by skipping the videos, and
r-installing the drivers for the video card provided by the manufacter, however
preformance with the music on is so poor that I've had to give it up (and it sounds
lovely!)

My system is a P100 w/16MB EDO RAM, it should run at least reasonably well with the
music though the TEAC quad speed CD-rom drive I have is probably the biggest
bottleneck! Why would EA release a game that is so nice to play once installed but is
like pulling hen's teeth to get it setup?
