NFS: Need help winning City road in tournament...

I've been trying like crazy to win the City Road in my tournament.  I've
won the Coastal and Alpine roads but the City road is giving me a lot of
problems.

I've been using the NSX, mainly because it is the fastest car in the group.

In the first segment, I can blow by the Supra that usually wins, but when I
get to the end of the segment, the last two turns are tight and he usually
ends up passing me and winning by a second or so.  His car must be on rails,
because he never slides out on the turns like I do.

Am I steering wrong?

Am I using the wrong car?  I tried the Supra but couldn't even catch him.

Any tips for this segment and road?

Any help appreciated...

Thanks,

   - Tom N.

Actually, if you're pretty skilled at taking out cars behind you, you
can put both NSX's (this is in tournament mode) out of the running. Don't hit
or get hit by anyone when you start (use the shoulders- they're wide enough
in the beginning to fit your car, and the computer drivers pretty much stay
out of your way), and you'll usually get ahead of all but the Supras. When the
NSX's finally catch up to you, knock em off. You have the next two segments to
catch the one or two Supras that are ahead of you.

You are driving the wrong car.  I found it impossible to win that track with
the NSX. Although I think the NSX is a better car, the Supra is faster.ZZ

Use the Supra. I think it is the only car that can win. You must not hit
any opponents at the start, then you should be able to catch up. When
your cars reach 154mph, you can slow approach the Supra in the front.
Just lose about 1 second to it in the first segment.

You should be able to easily wins back that second in the second segment.
Just remember to slow down a bit at about 2.9 mile and 1.6 mile.
Especially that 1.6 mile position. If you forget to brake early, you will
get a big crash.
Then in the third segment, the key point is the "S" turn just before the
last tunnel. You should over take the opponent at the entrance if you are
losing or keep winning at that time. If you are at the second place after
that "S" turn, you must lose.

Even now I can easily win that course in tournament mode with the Supra,
I still cannot win with the NSX and RX-7.

try to LEARN the course like you do a track.  know when to brake, and you
won't slide out.

Totally true.  The Supra is slower on the first segment as it has a lower
top speed.  You will motor away but be caught near the end.  In the
twisty segments however, it will perform quite well.
