Screen resolution in ICR

by Kim Wall » Fri, 01 Apr 1994 22:46:10

I recently installed ICR on a 486 SLC-2/50 which supposedly has a Paradise VGA with
1mb RAM and am using a Compudyne 1024X768 VGA monitor (.28dp).  I am wondering
whether this machine is really displaying  full screen resolution.  When I run ICR the
graphics are nice, but chunky (eg wheels sometimes look like hexagons, angled edges
are jagged).  My question.  Does ICR automatically detect the screen resolution and
does it have several modes, or does this sound pretty much like what everyone else
is seeing.

Is there any way to configure ICR beyond the "options" item in the main menu?

Thanks

Kim

Since I have not heard otherwise, I assume that ICR is a normal VGA game.
THat is 300x200x256. If you have the graphics detail set to AUTOMATIC,
the amount of graphics detail can change during the race. The tires are indeed
hexagons at the low detail setting. Set the detail to MANUAL and make the
adjustments that suit you.
