With the new 3Dfx DX6 drivers, GPL just hangs after about 20 secs. Going
back to the older drivers fixes the problem.
Anyone else experience this?

It happens on everybody's system when using the new experimental DX6
drivers. Both Papyrus and 3Dfx are aware of this issue.

No. I've found the new drivers to be around 10% faster. Redundant mouse
images in the menu pages are the only downside. Have you tried reducing the
speed of the Voodoo 2?

That's a bit like asking someone if they wouldn't mind running around in
a Ferrari in 2nd gear all the time...

They work fine on my system with a Monster 3D II 12MB, so it doesn't
happen to everybody.

No. By "reduce speed" I refer to the clock speed of the card. Several
control panels include a slider to adjust the speed between, say, 90 and
95Mhz. You won't notice a move from 95 to 94 or 93 but it may address the
stability problem.

I have exactly the same problem. First I thought it was something else but
then I remembered that I had installed the new drivers.
