I just purchased a copy of GP2 and would like to find out how it runs
on my computer.I hear alot of people talking about a GP2 log.What is
this and where can I find it?Also,what is a good processor occupancy
speed and log score?I'm running a p-166 with 16mb of ram and 2mb Dram
Diamond Stealth GT.Are there any speed-up utilities other than s3spdup
out there that improve the speed?Would the no-CD utility help

You can find it in just one second, because its already installed on your own
HDD. Type in "gp2 log:on", then exit the game and have a look at your
gp2-directory. Youll find a file called "gp2log.txt" with two entries:
Speed (c.f. DX2-66): xxx
Video speed: xxx

By the way: My graphic card has an S3-Virge chip with 2MB EDO-RAM. If I start
GP2 with a clean boot-disk under MS-DOS 7.0, I get a video speed of 269. But
if I use s3spdup.exe, I get 453 points (I still cant believe!!!).
My simple question: Is it possible, that my graphic card will send my nice
greetings from the graphic-card-nirvana, if Ill keep on playing GP2 with
s3spdup.exe?

i am running gp2 on a overclocked p100 (upto 120),whilst this gives me
a lower vid speed in gp2log (354 to 322) i get more frames/sec in the
game(because of a faster cpu speed),my card is a s3trio64v+ and so i
tried the utility s3spdup but this has made no difference at all
Question:what would be the correct command line option to use and are
there any other software accelerators around that i could try,also
where,or from whom,can i find out more about the gp2log.txt reports
and what each line means.many thanks to whoever replies
