On my Pentium III 450 System with a Voodoo 3 3000 card GPL doesn't work
right. After starting GPL.EXE nothing happens, only a system reset brings me
back to the Windows 98 desktop.

After that I changed some Voodoo settings and activated the Triple Buffering
in the control panel. Now GPL starts but now the menus are flickering badly.
Everything is screwed up and elements of the previous menus are shown on the
current menus (for example: If I go to the options menu and leave it to go
to the track selection, I can read still read some elements of the option
menu).

The game graphics are working good, but if I press ALT+F or PAUSE those text
lines get screwed up too.

Please help!

Allready done that: new drivers and GPL patch 1.2!

Disabling triple buffering has the following result: after stating GPL.EXE
the screen becomes black and nothing happens (the starting screen of GPL
(the GPL logo) is not shown!)!

I don't know what to do!

Some time ago someone said that you had to check the "Disable Splash Screen"
in your V3 properties box. Generally this is a great idea, so you no longer
have to wait for that stupid 3dfx logo :)

I haven't really had any problems at all with my V3 and GPL, so I guess that's
all the help i can give. Re-installing GPL is always a good idea though,
just remember to back up those precious setups :)

Try reinstalling GPL.

Go to Glide/OpenGl in the 3dfx tweaks menu, and check the "Limit texture memory to 2MB" box.
That will do the trick.
