I replaced my trusty old V3 3000 yesterday with a V5 5500. I slotted it in,
and sat back waiting to be amazed by the huge increase in framerate (esp
F12K) and the new gorgeous FSAA graphics.
Well, was I disappointed!
GPL:
36?
2) with x2 AA it just locks up in the initial menus
3) with x4 AA it is almost unplayable. Still reasonable frame rates, but the
graphic objects like stands etc. seem to jerk towards me. Weird!
F12K:
whole experience was more jerky and washed out looking.
2) with x2 and x4 AA there was no big frame rate hit, although the graphics
looked so much better and smoother.
I'm using the card with an Athlon 750 and just cannot understand why I've
spent 250 on a video card that is giving me no benefit! (and going down to
800x600 doesn't solve the problem, just gives a few more fps.)
Any thoughts?
