As far as FF is concerned, I can feel absolutely no difference at all with
the patch - I wish I could.
There is however, a HUGE improvement in the AI performance.

With the force effects set at 100% in the control panel,my Force Rs is
giving excellent FFB.I would place it below GPL,but on par with Viper in
many areas. All I care about is the visceral thrill I get when driving on
the limit, something F12K gives me that is enhanced with the use of FFB.

You get the effects after installing 1.06, right?  I only
recently got rid of a dead zone problem with F12K - surely
these effects weren't there the whole time?  I would kick
myself :)

Same FFB effects as pre 1.06 :) But,after the patch I don't get booted to
desktop on those rare off track excursions :) That's the reason I originally
turned off the FFB.Now it's on 100% everything in control panel,no centering
spring either.I dusted off my LWFF and it's very anemic compared to the Force
RS.

Hmmmm...  The AI are *definitely* better, the framerate seems improved
somewhat.  But my LWFF just isn't showing any life outside the pits
except for the kerbs.  :-/

My Guillemot Ferrari neither! Where is Pat getting these effects from?

I wonder if there's something else to toggle besides the on/off setting
for the FF?  I didn't see any, but I will re-load my LWFF profiler &
check the centering spring settings.  Maybe that'll make a difference...

I have the spring gain, damper gain, and overall
device gain set at 100% with my Force RS.

For F12K, I have to enable the centering default
spring force and set it to 50% or 60%.  With no
default spring enabled, there are no handling
effects.  At 100% the effects are masked by the
centering force.

Alison told us this a long time ago, but she
never mentioned that handling effects could
be felt :)

This is very strange. If I turn on the centering spring it takes away from
almost all effects I feel. With everything set on 100% in control panel, but
no centering spring,I get great FFB.I can feel the wheel load up in
turns,lighten when sliding,but no kerb feel.I'm using the 1.06 patch,Force
RS latest drivers,win 95b,DX7a.

Nope, no difference with my LWFF.  Oh well, at least there *are*
improvements to be had with this patch.  Just not in the FF dept.
