F1CS question

Guys,

I just bought this to fiddle around with, mainly a N4 guy and spent years
with GPL.  My question is are all of the cars the same???  I have seen some
stuff about the all chassis patch, is that needed to make the Arrows
different from the Mercedes etc???

Thanks in advance,

Chad

While the cars are physically modeled differently, the underlying
physics are largely the same.  The All-Chassis Patch subtly changes the
physics between each make of car, so that they handle and perform just a
little differently.  However, the true value of the patch is that alters
the overall physics settings in the game (which were way too high) for
more realistic performance and car handling.

Chad,

In the stock, out-of-the-box game, all the chassis in F1CS are modeled
the using exactly the same physics parameters, with different engine
parameters for each team.  This gives each team slightly different
performance characteristics based on engine horsepower and torque, but
the handling is essentially the same from a chassis to chassis
standpoint.

The All Chassis Patch gives you slightly different physics for each
chassis to better reflect the variations in chassis from team to team.
The All Chassis Patch also lowers the engine inertia, giving you a
more rev-happy, less sluggish engine across the board; tire stiffness
and friction values are also altered to give more realistic tire wear
and grip levels.

You can get the All Chassis Patch at the Blackhole Motorsports site
(http://www.bhmotorsports.com/).

Hope this helps!
