What is weird to me is that with my older BX6 motherboard with the 1000 mhz
chip, and same install of XP I never ever had this problem. I assumed it
was all just me, because I upgraded and had XP do a REPAIR on itself.
Guess Ill have to format and try soon, but time.. I think there is a "
<<please Im not sure how it was worded either>> certain Chipset-sidewinder
software patch" at the MS site BTW Have you guys tried this yet? seems to
be reading that a lot of USB with VIA chipset thing is a problem but Im not
really sure on that.

Sorry, I just can't help but bring that up from time to time. It's just so
hilarious to me.
Seriously, the drivers for SideWinders ARE very, very long-in-the-tooth. My
SideWinder does some of this goofy stuff too, but only when NOT in the game.
Once I'm in the game it is ok.
