Does anyone know of any MC sims that are available, if not, any rumors of
impending development? There must be enough interest for a GP styled sim
or perhaps the ultimate race known, The Isle of Man. Al.

Roadras is as close to motorcyclr sim as your going to find. Its really
more arcade style but still quite fun

In fact, I'd *prefer* that a motorcycle sim was based on a current
driving sim - it would be fun to try a fast bike on the same roads
you'd driven a race car.

You are compleately right, there arent good bike simulators.
I heard Microprose was going to do one after Gp2 but as it took so
much time to release it, they forgot about the bike game.
I love bikes and I hope I can see a good bike sim soon and not the
arcade (and not very good arcade) Road Rash.

Imagine how good one could look today!

From the desk of Doug Burg - My Unofficial "Need For Speed" page:

My current list of items forsale at AuctionWeb can be found at:
"You can make $$$ or you can make excuses, but you can't make BOTH"
Anyway, it looked great...the bike tilted using the mouse and
everything, but the control stunk. I always wished it would have been
better, becuase the way they had rendered the bike going through high
speed turns looked great.
See ya, Joe
Nintendo's E***-A-Bike - and it was only a cheesy 2-d arcade racer
..
Imagine how good one could look today!<<
There is a Sony playstation game coming out in November called
Motocross FX (I think). The screen shots in the magazines looked
great. I also read somewhere that this Christmas there will be a Sony
game featuring 250cc champ Jeremy McGrath. It will have both
supercross and motocross tracks and many of the actual sponsors.
I think the game you are talking about is called VMX-Racing and it is from
Playmates Interactive.
It is going to be released on on multiple formats in December. Playstation and
PC at least.
The PC version will include networkplay.
Take a look at the nice pictures at

If I'm not mistaken, the Japanese version has already been
released, and supposedly, it isn't very good at all. I hope I'm
mistaken, but a few people who have played the import have advised
me to steer well clear of this title. Perhaps they'll fix it up for
the U.S. release?

If any motor sim creators are listening, PLEASE consider making
an updated motocross game, one where you can create your own
tracks hopefully.
