Expect it's been asked before - but is there any way of configuring this.
I've got a workable single axis throttle and brake working, but when I try
to recalibrate the wheel in XP I get a digital response - ie the throttle is
either full on or the brake is.  I don't get an option to use split axis
either.  Have I missed something?

If it's a GamePort version, you are kind of screwed.

You can only get full control of the wheel with the full SideWinder 4.0
software installed, but it isn't available for and does not work with the
GamePort version of the wheel.

Also, you don't calibrate the MSFFW in Windows.  Only in games that require
it.

Go to Control Panel --> Game controllers. Highlight the wheel and click
"Properties." Select the "Settings" tab and look at the bottom. Under
"Pedal mode" select "Separate" instead of "Combined."

This works just fine for me in XP.

Did you install the version 4.0 software?  If so, you can go into the
Settings tab in the Properties, and near the bottom is Pedal mode.  Make
sure you have Separate selected.  Then save the Settings.

Thanks for this.  I had installed v4.0, but there was obviously something
wrong. A uninstall and re-install has sorted me out.  GPL's even better
now.....

If it's a gameport version, this will not work in all games.

Dunno why, it just don't.
