There must be something wrong with your computer. I run in 1024 mode (though
capable of 1280 res) and It looks very nice to me. Sure, it could be a
little better. Its not Unreal or Quake 3, and Im more than happy with the
awesome framrate at 1024 (maxed out details and FPS).

Nah, no bilinear filtering for a lot of textures. Gives that ole' GP2
software rendering feel.
