Here's one I used for a 1:41.8xx. It was developed by Georg Naujoks on
CompuServe (who has, of course, gone even faster!).

Cheers!

Well, I don't know about everyone else, but i found the joystick to be a
right *** for control. Anyway, I managed to get consistent 1:46 and
1:47 with my setup.. rear wing on 1, front wing about 14, gears
relatively standard excepting 6th a touch longer. Springs and anti roll
bars fairly standard, etc.

Hi!

I'm not fast enough yet, but I can cure that 1.51:

Wings: f: 9  b: 1
Roll Bars: f: 3000   b: 750
Springs:  f: 1300  b: 1200
Ride Height: f: 32  b: 58
6th gear: 65:64

Whith those I can run 1.45 times (my best 1.45.103

By the way: lose that autogearbox (and all helpers too) !

How about using the showset utility at:
  http://www.sax.de/~sts/gp2-arch.html
instead of posting the rather unreadable *.*si code...

The utility dumps the whole setup information to the screen and piping
the output to a file or the printer gives a nice and readable format.
Try it, I thinks it can improve discussions about the GP2 setups in this
newsgroup a lot...

Happy racing

I got showset from CompuServe a while back, but posting the "*.cs?"
files simply saves people a lot of typing. Save it to your GP2
directory, load it up and away you go. For those without printers you
have to copy the whole thing down, load up GP2 and then type it all in -
major pain.

Cheers!
John

What is really needed is a setup program that both dumps a setup file
in a readable fashion AND reads its own output and produces a binary
setup file!

Such a program should quickly become a standard.
