F1 2000 - Should I buy it.

Greg,
It's strange isn't it how one or two people seem to have that opinion of the
graphics.  I think they are superb. Maybe there are too many tweaking

750 with V3!
I'm coming to the conclusion that there is something about graphics cards
and the performance of F12K.  Voodoos appear to perform really well, both in
frame rate and quality, but Geforce and others seem to be not so good.

Your statment is nothing but an insult, since all the posts I've seen
are from people who have played the game. When you mature enough to
have a reasonable debate, please post again.

Because I'm interested in sim racing, and because I enjoy debate with
reasonable people who hold differing opinions (such as yourself). I
probably shouldn't respond to the ones who stoop to insulting everyone
they disagree with, you're right.

And yet, when one makes vague assertions about ignorant posts, without
giving any specifics, it can only be interpreted as a lowbrow insult.

Yes it is weird. I hope we finally find out what the problem is. I also
plan to continue to use my 12MB Voodoo2 when I get my P3-600E
going. That way we will get a direct result with FRAPS of what a
difference (if at all) a faster CPU will make. I will probably try
editing the config.ini file for the system type again. My 450 and
V2 gave the system rating of 2 originally. When I tried changing
it to 5 as described here I got a huge slowdown. It will be interesting
to see if things get much better.

I didn't see that much of an improvement when I upgraded from a 500 Athlon
to a 750. It was very disappointing!

End of debate as far as I'm concerned - you are a very strange individual in
my opinion. I hope you find someone who suits your intellect and level of
reasoning to argue with soon.

This game is very poor and disappointing.  I can't see how people in
here say that the physics are good.  No F1 car behaves or drives like
this game makes it out to be.  Have you used the external view?  Car
looks like it is floating on the road from side to side.  Unbelievable.

Well, I don't race in external view, too unrealistic for me. Physics seem
pretty good, not to say they can't be better, but I am enjoying it. As for
how no F1 car behaves or drivers like they do in this game, I really can't
comment as I have never driven  a formula 1 car.
