% a troll. Since CPR totally blew, and IMHO is no comparison at
% all to F1 2000, I am very curious to know exactly why you did not
% like F1 2000. Were you running it on a P-166 or something?
PIII 650 with Voodoo3 2000....
I disliked the graphics, the dullness of some of the tracks, the way the
background crawled across the screen as it is drawn. I guess I
basically don't have the patience to hack the program to make it
"playable" (the AI, the "grip", the graphics, etc.). I thought the
sound was similar to a first grader imitating an F1 car (poorly at
that). The Forcefeedback was highly lacking.
It just didn't convince me that it was a finished product worthy of my
time. Maybe I just expected too much from the product and was totally
let down by its weaknesses to get it to it. It was fun to tool around
with, but it didn't have the lasting hold that I look for in a sim.
