GPL F3 in Mesa!

Well, so content with the converter... :-)

I tried an F3 race in Mesa Marin, Bakersfield GP. The track seemed to
be kind of short for the very strong F1's...

And I won the qualification! My time was 21.00. Clark was second, 21.58,
Hill 3rd, 21.68, and Hulme 4th, 21.81.  0.58 is quite a lot of 21 seconds!

These short ovals do not seem to be too bad, either, with the right
equipment. Of course it might be that the "big guys" themselves are
not so used to this kind of tracks... ;-)

But proud I am! :)

Let us see, how the race will go tomorrow.

I'll continue my report from Mesa Marin ...  ;-)
Even while I am not so sure if anybody is interested ...
...

I had to wait one day more to have the time for the race. But anyhow it
is so sweet to read on the first page of "Grand Prix News" that
"Wikla dominates the Bakersfield GP" and "Ferrari driver Arto Wikla
triumphs at Mesa Marin" !  :-)

I was driving the F3 Ferrari, and I really won the 40 laps race! Hill
was second, one lap behind me, and Hulme 3rd, 2 laps behind. Perhaps
my luck was that Clark had to quit because of his problems with the
suspension...

It was quit a job: I passed the tail 6 times (Beltoise was the last to
finish.)

My time was 15:12.32 and my best lap was 20.99, which was also the
fastest lap in the race...

Perhaps there is something wrong with the AI, because I am not used in
winning the GPL races, ..., but the result makes me happy, anyhow!

Heh Arto,

All your posts are at the bottom in my newsreader. Not a big problem,
mind you, but I noticed that your date is wrong...
