Under the 'unsupported' features button <from v1.06>, what does the 'player
models equal' mean? Is this a performance thing? A visual thing?

Thanks

I believe it means the performance of your car will be the same, no matter
if you decide to use a Ferrari or a Minardi. This was the default setting
when the game was released. The unsupported feature allows you to disable
this and struggle at the back of the pack if you want an extra challenge.

Ahh, ok. Thanks.

Perchance, what is your car's performance set to? Is there a way to change
it?

I believe your default player vehicle specs are in the default.vhs file in the
vehicles subfolder (above all the subfolders with the teams' vehicles).  When
compared to McLaren, I was suprised to see that it is slightly inferior.
Normally I expect these games to give you a car at least as good as the best
of the opposition and usually better.  But note it is  better than most other
teams.  So...

Edit it to your heart's content, or select the "unsupported" option of your
choice to either have the default vehicle, or race the vehicle of that team.

How would I edit it?

[default.vhs file]

It's a text file.  Or if not (some of the files are archived) unzip it to a
text file.  As to how to reasonably select settings, look at the .veh files
for each team car right below in the team folders to get an idea of what is
what.
