yeah, i really missed a r.a.s. server in N4, Guy's server was probably
the closest, but it had bad latency. What about a server with a
password only distibuted on this newsgroups ?

After Norisring on Saturday, I think Alan Owens has taken over that title
(sorry Alan if you're reading).

That's what *I* was thinking - I couldn't imagine that you COULDN'T see such a

Sorry, I don't have N2002 yet.  I know someone who would make it 'available' to
me, but that copy wouldn't do any good online.

It's only been released in the U.S. so many don't have a copy they can use
online yet. Not until March 1st.

No rush, no obligation Eldred. Don't have the game yet either. I was hoping
to be able to try a buddy's review copy on Friday and leave it installed,
but you're saying, unlike GPL, multiplayer requires the full retail version
at both host and client?

If you buy N2002 Eldred, I promise I will never make fun of your
bowling hobby!

To race online via the Sierra/Won servers, you have to have a full install
with the CD Key entered.  Racing with a copy which is hard because 2002 uses
a fairly recent update of securerom could cause you to be unable to log on
if the previous owner has already registered the cd.
However that shouldn't be a problem if you are direct connecting via the
IP#.

It's a financial issue - as in, I don't HAVE any.  I'm even going to quit
bowling next season because of it, so you won't be ABLE to make fun of it...<g>

Well, I 'assumed' it was like N4, where you need the keycode to connect to the
Sierra Server...
