LWFF and GP3

Trying to use my Wingman FF GP with GP3. When calibrating the wheel, I can't
seem to assign buttons to any functions, for example the paddles to shifting
gear.
Most of the options are greyed out: I can alter force feedback effects, but
button
assignments don't seem to be allowed. I'm using Wingman 3.62 drivers, GP3
v.1.13.
Any ideas?

Hello "Frankie",

IIRC out of the box GP3 consists of two executables and the WingMan profiler
applies itself to GP3.exe which is just a loader. You either have to get the
decoded .exe (try http://www.racesimcentral.net/) or set up the profiler to use
GP3.icd. I recommend the former.

OK one last question about the LWFF setup - I have the buttons set, now I
want
to specify split axis. So I disable the 'combined axis' setting in the game
controller
panel, then calibrate in the game. Seems OK, except that even though I
assign
acceleration and braking to Y and Z axes respectively, when I go to
calibrate,
acceleration responds in the Z axis, and braking in the 'Z rotation' axis.
Is this right?
Same thing happens in Porsche Unleashed as well.
