first lap without a pace lap... Starting at the rear of the pack, going
into turn three a large group of cars will hit the brakes hard, which is a
problem is you are on the low line.   But if you are running a high line
you can pass alot cars, good luck with staying off the walls.  This may not
be a bug, but it does not seem right considering that they run 2 & 3 wide
going into the tri oval in real life.

same problem I think it is a bug.
The PITS did a better job on the AI for talladega in N1,wonder if they
can make apatch for tally in N2..Hope so.....

I was rudely ejected from a few races with this traffic jam bug.  What I
did was viewed the replay from the 4th, 5th, and 6th place cars (roof cam)
to see exactly what was happening at the front of the pack.  Their speed
was around 180 just starting into the turn (3) and then all of them just
decel'd to around 170, resulting in the rest of the pack jamming down to

36th to 12th in one banked turn.

This needs to be looked into.

I am using a joystick for steering.  Button 1 is upshift, button 2 is
downshift.  With NASCAR1, I had the LEFT CTRL button as acceleration and
LEFT SHFT as braking.  Now these keys don't appear available in keyboard
commands.

I've had to move the gas/brake over to the "Z" and "A" keys.  What gives?

I am able to create new setups, save them and retrieve them but when I
adjust my LF Camber to 0.00 when I return to the setup later it reads
-2.50.   Any ideas?

Those keys (shift at least, and perhaps CTRL) are now being used by the
program. (Shift is active in the F2 box, and CTRL might be being used to
send autochat messages (ala multi)) So, those keys are not available for
user defined controls.

I see this not as a bug but as a problem with using the same physics
algorithm at all tracks.  NCR1 had the problem that the AI would not
slow down enough in the corners on the first 2 laps of the race.  At
Talladega that was fine.  Now, all the other tracks are fine and
Talladega is screwed up.  My suggestion is "hope you qualify on the
outside, then pass as many as you can on the outside after you cross the
S/F line.  If you are on the inside, make sure your health insurance
premium is paid.

It's a bug and I reported it to Papyrus a couple of weeks ago.

Talladega was also screwed up before the AI patch.  The cars would slow to
a crawl through the dog leg.  This phenomenon occurs when two AI cars both
want the same line.  Instead of racing side by side - they slow down way
too much.  The fix is to improve the racing lines - trying to keep the
speeds in each line equal.  This will cause the cars to not slow too much.
Preventing criss-crossing racing lines is also important.  This is
basically what was in the Talladega AI patch.

It does the same thing to me. But it's just a minor bug, the camber is
really still at zero. Look at your center line it's straight up and
down. Also look at your tire temps as long as there still about even
across you know your camber isn't -2.50.
