1.2.0.1 patch from Papyrus. When we play a single player mode we don't have
any problem, so we assume that the software was properly installed.
All single players PC are Win98 using VooDoo video Cards, Microsoft
SideWinder Wheels and different Intel CPU (Pentium II 400, Celeron 500, etc.)
and all computers are hooked to a 10 BaseT concentrator. Using TCP/IP
protocol with fixed IP (Non DHCP server). Also we have 24 hours access to
Internet via ADSL (Cisco 670). This is our working LAN in labor hours.
All local clients connect to the server without VROC. But use same Core.ini
files.
When we star a GPL multiplayer session (dedicated sever, external server or
non dedicated server. Started with VROC or Core.ini/Server.ini) the server
drops the 4th client. Some times up to six players can join in the practice
laps but at the grid some players are dropped, other can't start when the
green flag downs and only three players/client can run the race. No matter if
dropped players are local (LAN) players or Internet players. In fact four
local players can't race at same time ever
We use the following core.ini parameters at the server (for a dedicated
server):
