Joyswitch trouble, HELP!!!

by Henderso » Sat, 27 Dec 1997 04:00:00

Ok, I posted earlier on the joyswitch, but I have another question, I
                                                         have the Nascar
Pro wheel, a gamepad, and a joystick, and I want to connect them
all.....how do I get it so I just flip the switch and they are all
connected, I have the propanel, but only theone that is on ID 1 works,
the other two are on ID 2 and 3, I have to flip the switch and put
ehcontol on Id 1 to get it to work, is there any way to get around this,
or did I waste 40 dollars on the joyswitch......thanks, and Merry the
day after Christmas!!!

  Hey Nate,
I've got the joyswitch and a T2.  As far as I know, you must only
have one driver in DX5 working at any time.  So even if you do change
the switch for your gamepad or wheel, you still have to choose the
proper driver under DX5.  I have a control panel for DX5(looks like a
fat yellow X in a black circle)  I go there first and remove whatever
old driver I had connected, then add the proper one for ...say my T2.
then if I really want to be precise, I go to the TM propanel and
calibrate the wheel there.  And of course, you can try the CTFJ utility
that centers the joysticks after all your calibration is done.
This isn't so much a  Joyswitch problem as a logic problem with DX5.
We 'should' be able to just go to the control panel and press button
#1 for our Wheels, button #2 for our sticks, button #3 for gamepads
etc....maybe in DX12....

I found that I do not need to recalibrate. I have "Formula T2" setup
for my T2 and "3 axis, 2 button" setup for my F22-Pro/TQS/RCS.
I just remove one & add the other. The important thing is the device
that W95 uses is ID #1. I believe you can switch the joyswitch, do the
add/remove & play. You may have to reboot though.
