Selector between wheel and stick - "Joyswitch"????

by Brad W Trawe » Wed, 08 Mar 1995 10:59:04

When I first bought my ACP, someone mentioned a product that
allowed them to avoid constantly unplugging and plugging in their
wheel and their joystick depending on what game they were playing -
some sort of selector that you plugged both controllers into and
then could select which one was active.  I seem to faintly recall it
being called a "Joyswitch" - is that the actual name?  I assume
Chips and Bits carries it?   Info. appreciated...

thanks,
-Brad

It is called the Joyswitch and it's made by Lead Pursuits Inc .(714)362-8698
$59.95 U.S.  There is a short write up on it in the Dec 94 issue of
Computer *** World.

I have a JOYSWITCH and I can highly recommend it. I have my Thrustmaster
Flight Stick and WCS II on one line, 2 Gravis GamePads on another,
my T1 Driving wheel and pedals on still another and my FLCS and still
another WCS II on the last port. It is unbelieveably easy to switch
back and forth from one set of controllers to another.
Get one it really makes is great to have all your controls setup
at ALL TIMES.
A very superior product, and very high quality construction as well.

The Joyswitch works with up to 4 separate joysticks and 2 sets
of foot pedals.  I highly recommend it for Thrustmaster T1
users.  And, I figure it will work just as well for ACP users.
Beats swapping joysticks every ten minutes...  For me, the $38
mail order cost was well spent.

Well, I personally do have a hard time justifying the cost - I mean, $40
just so I don't have to manually change controllers?  I must be getting lazy,
though, because I convinced myself to go ahead and order it. :-)  However,
I called Chips+Bits and they were "out of stock; call back in 2-3 weeks".
Anyone know who else might carry the Joyswitch?

Try your local Egghead Software store.  If you don't have one in your
area, give Flight Sim Central a call at 1-800-477-7467.  Computer
Express carries the Joyswitch as well.
