Its great to see you have an interest in racing......as well as, participate
in and enjoy sim racing!
I would like to make a suggestion to you, something that may be able to
assist your "sim racing hobby" over the long-term, rather than offering a
list of racing sims that can be "controlled with a mouse."
Wouldn't it be great if you could obtain a set of "sim driving controls"
that you can use to play any sim racing program you desire? Of course, this
is not something you can "purchase in a store," but I'm sure that applies to
your "chair" and the devices you now use for day to day living and getting
around in your environment.
I would like to suggest that you contact Ball Racing, LTD in England. They
make race controls and sim racing***pits for many uses, including
retrofitting sim controls to Ford Motor's "touring auto show cars" in all of
Europe......and specialty controls for some real-world-racing F1 teams (I
can not reveal their names however). Ball Racing is a "family" operation,
made up of some very talented "engineers" (lead by brother Nik) who just
happen to love sim racing and have built a thriving business around their
"love of sim racing!" My company (Pabst-Racing.com) represents Ball
Racing's North American operations, from here in the United States. I have
worked with them for several years now....and I know them well (Roger,
Simon, Tim and Nik). In fact, I am meeting Tim and Nik tomorrow at the E3
Expo in Los Angeles, California.
I will take a copy of this "reply" and your original "post" with me to Los
Angeles and give it to Tim and Nik......along with giving them a brief of
your needs. I would also like to invite you to go to Ball Racing's website
at:
www.interactiveracing.com
However, they are currently in the process of creating a brand new
"corporate/home" website, so this URL may be inactive at times as they are
uploading files and graphics daily to this URL. You will eventually get
through to the site, so keep trying. When you do get to the BRD site, send
an email message using the "contact us" link on the site, addressed to Simon
Ball. Please explain your situation, and remind him for me, that I have
contacted him about you as well (which I will do as soon as I am done
writing this reply to you). I don't want to give out Simon's private email
address on this public forum, as I'm sure you will understand.
I am confident that with enough patience, perseverance, and perhaps some
cooperation from the company who designed your wheel chair, that BRD can
design and construct a set of sim racing controls for you that will allow
you to fully utilize all the controls available to the rest of us, in any
sim racing game we play.
I wish you luck in this endeavor, and Godspeed.
Regards,
Tom Pabst

| Hello,
| I'm a paralised game fan but because of my handicap, I use an alternative
| keyboard and mouse (for more info look at
| http://users.pandora.be/xaviersplace ). On that keyboard, I can't hold
| buttons down so I look for a race game that allows you to handle the car
| with the mouse. I have 2 games: MS Motocross Madnes and Powerslide but I
| would love to get an F1 or CART game.
| Can anyone help me by telling me which games can be played with the mouse?

mouse.
I played GP1 and GP2 with a mouse (right button = throttle, left button =
brake), which went very well because the games had steering help. GP3 has
that too so why not give it a try?
Bye,
