boost as opposed to using the D3D T&L. I did this test to compare how the
D3D T&L performance was vs. NR2002. The surprising thing was that N4 and
NR2002 perform almost identically on my system when using D3D. On a side
note, I also think the OpenGL has a nicer look.
With all details set to max except mirrors to medium detail and 70% view
ahead. 1024x768x32. No Vsync. :
Atlanta back of the field. 20 cars. No steering wheel drawn. MSFF USB wheel
with FF enabled.
N4 D3D T&L ~26fps
NR2002 D3D T&L ~25fps
N4 OpenGL ~35fps (With Specular Highlights Enabled)
N4 OpenGL ~45fps (No Specular Highlights - This option doesn't exist in
Direct3D)
