RASCAR: For Everyone (especially Eldred)

If you tell someone about RASCAR, make double-damn sure that you mention
the fact that they have to register per the instructions on the roster
page.  I am more likely to verbally slap someone around than I am to
repeat my instructions for every new driver (I know, this might come as
a surprise to some of you).

Eldred: "R_Hromin" did NOT apparently visit the roster page to find out
what he needs to do to register.  I verbally slapped him around, so you
might want to talk to him.

Rich Hromin is a driver in one of my other leagues.  I *did* tell him to check
the webpage and let me know his Sierra ID.  I just didn't get his ID in time to
add it to the invite list.  Since I can personally vouch for him, he would have
been able to run Saturday even if he hadn't had a chance to 'officially'
register...

That's all well and good, (and I don't mind that he races at all, and I
certainly don't have any control over whether he does or not), but he
was not on the roster, and that could lead to car numbering problems if
someone else sees that #11 is still apparently available.  There's no
reason I should have any more involvment than simply adding someone to
the roster pages without having any questions about the new driver.

All they have to do is read the page and follow the instructions.

If your buddy still wants to race, I'll add him to the roster, but I may
have pissed him off (I know, incomprehensible considering my sunny
nature and cheery disposition).  Anyway, one of you should let me know.

Yeah, but only after I looked harder. He still didn't do it right. He
did not provide his real name - I happened to find that when I looked at
his car file, which btw, has the wrong car number in it (it shows up in
the car list as #18).

Well, since I don't know the context of your conversation with each other, I
can't even comment on that.  I told him to check the webpage and it would give
him all the info he needed.  If he didn't...?  Dunno.

Rich is in my N2k league too.  You won't have any problems with him.

John

p.s.  He's an alien :)

Well, after we went back and forth a couple of times, he hasn't said
whether or not he still wants to still be added to the roster.  I have
all of his info now, but I think I pissed him off.
