I'm not running Win95, but here's what works for me:

I pick the "USRobotics Sportster (28.8)" modem setup and it gives me this setup
string:

AT&F^M~~~AT&K0&M0^M

I'm using COM2 with IRQ3 at 19200 baud.

There is also a note in MODEMS.CFG that says "28.8 connection requires baud to be
set to 19200 on BAUD line.

It works beautifully every time both two-player and on Hawaii.

Good luck!

Pat.

If this is one of the inexpensive V.34 modems (i.e. less than $100US) it
will not work with NASCAR. These modems rely on a Windows driver to provide
some of their functionality. The do NOT work under DOS.

Dave,

That would be the "WinModem" not the Sportster.
