allow you to start a multiplayer game. They have no plans
to remedy this. Surely there's a simple hack to the .exe
that can be done to tell it not to look for a file that is
only on the original N2 CD. Anyone know of one?
Also, multiplayer has been largely disappointing. I've
disabled virus scan and that helps a bit, but the program
hangs so often when muliplayer join fails that I can't
use the 3dfx patch. Ctrl-F9 doesn't seem to work to allow
me to escape back to windows to kill N2.
Joining multiplayer games with kali fails so often that I
wonder if N2 truely is a viable multiplayer game on the
internet. I've looked in the FAQ but haven't found answers
to my questions. The only success I've had is with players
with less than 400 pings in a one on one. Add another
player and the game will not start.
Single player is great but so far for me, multiplayer is
a farce.
Any help would be appreciated.
