I would be suprised if they DID NOT try to relicense the Daytona
name.  thier Saturn is getting good buzz now with Sega Rally and VR
Fighters 2.  A Daytona 2 game will most likely be in the works.

The Director of Licensing at Daytona has indicated that there is a lot of
interest expressed by 'people' in getting Daytona into the Papyrus sim.
he states, and I quote; "We have received a good deal of correspondence
on this subject."

Anymore I hope Sega loses out simply because I despise companies that
think they don't have to talk to me... unless they want me to buy
something.  The old double standard doesn't wash with me.  I used to like
Papyrus simply because they made simulators for real racing fans.  Now I
like them even more because They Listen.  They Respond.  I don't see Sega
(or anyone else with car games for that matter) with a tech lead on the
group.  I guess they think we should buy their product, play it and leave
them the heck alone. I have no problem with leaving them alone, problem
for them is that I have no intention of Buying either.  I'll save my
dough for the next Papy sim thank you.
