Has anyone any idea how to conduct a spin turn as in GP2???

I have yet to discover how to master this technique, if it exists.

Needless to say, I spend a lot of time spinning off at the moment.   Just
cannot get
the hang of this game yet.

I honestly think the manual sucks along with the game menus.   Not very user
friendly at all.

I'll keep trying anyway

You need to turn off the driver aids, then you can spin the car. It is more
difficult to spin on the grass because of the hilarious molasses effect. The car
physics are not quite up to GP2 standards, but the car does respond more to
setup changes.

Now, if only Ubisoft would release a patch that implements accurate performance
on the grass. Actually, a patch that fixes the original problems (no mirrors in
ghost mode, no sound in replay) without slowing up the frame rate would be
enough for me.

Provided GP2 is correct; JV said that Gp2 had a good layout of
Spa but the car modeling wasn't so hot...

New patches (since 1.05??) have sound in replays.

I agree completely.. absolutely useless manual, worst ive seen, i STILL dont
know what those little arrows and circles at the bottom of the garage screen
for setups do (the ones with 'before race' and 'race' written on) .. ive
asked here before and nobody answered.. does ANYBODY know?? this is just
one of the mysterys that the manual doesnt cover.. also what does the
'steering limit' in the control setup screen do???

that ***y grass is SOOO annoying.. also it is incredible how it seems
whenever you spin you always end up facing backwards.. and its very hard
to spin the car 180 when you actually try.. but then again gp2 was exactly
the same..

When you run in Grand Prix mode, you have two setups available to you,
"before race" and "race."  The "before race" setup is used during practice
and time trials, and the "race" setup is used only during the race.  Note
that the game automatically selects your "before race" setup for practice
and time trials and your "race" setup for the actual race; you don't need to
click any buttons to specify this.  When you load a setup, it only goes into
one of these, either "before race" or "race" (I can't recall which one, and
you can't specify which one).  You can then use the arrows to transfer
individual settings from one setup to the other.  Yes, you must transfer
them one at a time.  Ideally, you'd like to have to the option of which
setup you load into so you can load up separate "before race" and "race"
setups, but this isn't possible.  One nice feature of the arrows is that you
can scrub a set of "before race" tires during practice by running a lap or
two on them and then transfer this scrubbed set to your race setup so you
start the race with scrubbed tires instead of fresh slippery tires.

The "steering limit" control is only used if you drive with the keyboard.

Does this have any effect at all if your using a wheel Kevin?
