Tom,
It sounds like you're choosing "Digital Joystick," which is the first option
after choosing "Configure Joystick." So, try this:
1. Go to the "Game Options," and choose "Control Options."
2. Make sure "Player 1's" control is "Joystick 1."
3. Choose "Configure Joystick."
4. TOCA will ask you in the following order: "Analogue or Digital
Joystick?," "Analogue Accelerator?," and "Analogue Brake?" You should know
what to choose. Then TOCA will ask you to press the keys you want to use
for Gear Up/Down, Rear View, and Change View.
Hope this helps, and just one question for you (in fact, all TOCAers). Does
your engine go completely silent when braking? If so, is there any way to
downshift, or having to come back onto the gas only to find out I'm in too
high a gear....
