Problem with N2 and 3Dfx

Just installed a Monster 3D II (12 meg) and downloaded the patch for
3Dfx. Now when I run the game the screen flickers everytime I move the
mouse. I'm talking BIG FLICKER where you can see the previous screen
underneath and the mouse leaves little trails all over. I'm using
Glide driver version 2.5. Any thoughts? Card works great with Burnout,
Incoming, VR Powerboat, etc.
