N2 3DFX Patch with Intense 3D Voodoo Problems.

It needs some sort of a vesa driver, when loading up,it will say weather or
not a driver is present(i believe though it just refers to the univibe
driver that came with the game.

>get the startup screen with the 3DFX logo then N2 continues to load then I
>get a "Unable to initialize video mode.  Possible no VESA Driver".  What do
>that mean.  I have the card.?.?.?!  Any ideas???

>Thanks.

I have a Intense 3D Voodoo and just installed the 3Dfx patch for Nascar 2 and
it works fine.  Univibe doesn't like the I3V card so you have to delete
univbe.drv and uvconfig.dat from your N2 directory and run w/o vesa (this info
is found in the readme.txt file in case you were wondering).  However, you
would have had to have done this in the first place to get N2 to run before the
3Dfx patch, so unless you are just now installing (or reinstalling) N2 this is
old news to you.  Hope this helps.

N2 3DFX Patch with Intense 3D Voodoo Problems.

HELP!!!!
THe reply below is not really OLD NEWS!!!  Some of us are just now
dumping our original 2meg cards like Matrox and moving to the 3D's...  So
now a thread that was hot for <new> products would help us on some of us NEW
users...  I have the below mentioned Intense3D, it sits on a shelf after it
refused to run N2!!  So I ordered the Thriller3D.  I have yet to get my T2
to config inthe new install of n2 (with patch to 1.03).

So does someone have the FAQ about 3d cards and n2, somewhere?   Dont be mad
at me, at the time everyone was raving about thier rendition card, I was
unsatisfied with my Matrox millen, but had no $$.  now if I had a
photographic memory, well... :)
I need faq or help with Both cards!!!  I have 2 machines to keep up at
present, and will put the intense into 2nd machine!

Thank you in advance!   mail me or reply,
