Intense 3d100 and Intense VooDoo?

I just took a look at the new Intense VooDoo card.  It seems like one
of the best 3dfx cards availible now.  I have the Intense rendition
card, (3d100).  From the information I have, I believe you can't run
both cards.  Since I have the rendition card just for Nascar I love to
be able to run the VooDoo card as well.  Please someone tell me I'm
wrong.  Can I run both cards in the same computer?

You can't run both of those cards (they are both 2d/3d combos), but you
could add a dedicated 3D only 3Dfx card such as the Monster3D,
Righteous3D, Flash3D, or the new 6MB Total3D.  BTW, for games that
utilize alpha blending and z-buffering concurrently (GLQuake for
example), the 3D-only Voodoo cards are about 30% faster than the Rush
cards (though this difference continues to shrink as new drivers and
BIOSes are released).

says...

Unfortunately, no.  Windows 95 can't handle having both cards in the
system at the same time.  It gets confused and you won't get any output
from the 2nd card put in.  A 2D and a 3D board in the same system will
work, but two 2D/3D boards in the same system can not coexist.

FWIW, I'm in the same dilemma.  I love my Intense3D-100, but since more
and more games seem to be supporting 3Dfx these days, I have an
Intergraph Voodoo Rush on it's way, also.  I haven't figured out yet what
I'm going to do about losing 3D in NASCAR2, INDYCAR2, and the up and
coming SODA off-road racing game.  Nothing to do, I guess, except swap
cards when you feel like having a racing day.  :)  Sure wish Sierra would
start supporting 3Dfx but that does seem likely to happen in the near
term.

Good luck,
Rick

Rick.... Why not keep your original Rendition 2d/3d card and get a
dedicated 3dfx 3d card to work with it!  That's what I did and it works
great!....you may want to wait for the latest VooDoo chipsets though
