GP2 on P2-300

Anyone still playing GP2? Saw it on a customers PC and thought I would
revisit it. Expected it to run like a charm, but  still get 100%+
processor occupancy with no other cars. I am sure I used to run it on a
P200. Now I am running a P2-300, 128meg RAm, TNT2 vieo etc.
Anyone have any suggestions?

yo todd,

there are still lots of gp2-players around :)
gp2 is basically using processor power and doesn't get much support from
modern graphic cards.
so a p2-300 isn't still good enough ;)
well, turn sky and track textures off, that will be the first help.
then, in racing, use ALT-D to set the details like you need them.

stefan.

I race full detail on a Celeron 550 - tnt2 32mb. I get below 100% most of
the time exept at monaco and in replays.
Can't imagine myself playing it at a p90 with a 1mb video card anymore like
I did when it came out.

Damn.  I'm getting the same with a 233mmx and 4 meg card.  Just what
type of machine do you need to run Monaco properly?
