John -
The server is now called RASCAR, and we're going to stick with 1 40% race a
week for a while.  Could you update the website to reflect that, please?
Thanks.

Also, I need to talk to you about painting a car for me...<g>

Yow - I can't run those kinds of times.  I'm lucky to run a high 56...

T3?  Braking at the last sign on the right puts me into the wall.  I have to
brake at LEAST at the 2ns sign - preferably the 1st one...

I have to brake there, otherwise I can't make the turn.

Lol, that's what I think too, but some like to think it has six turns :)

Plus, hotlapping doesn't mean a whole lot vs. race conditions.

This should be the second sign, my mistake; the one in line with the
beginning of the black *** groove marks.  You need to be able to use that
one easily.

Yep, because you're a lot faster in the race because of
drafting.

the manual states that you should try to get some laps under
your belt before you start tweaking with the setups, and
N2002rank is really not a hotlapping site because your fastest
laps will usually be driven under race conditions, with a fast
driver slightly ahead of you, pulling you around the track.

I know it happened to me last night at Talladega ;-)

So talking of "hotlapping" in N2002 is a bit strange, I think.

Cheers,

uwe

On the other hand, the superspeedways are drafting tracks. There is no way
you can qualify as fast as when you draft.
On all other tracks, you will be faster in qualify, since you can use 100%
grille tape, and the draft isn't really needed because of the lower top
speed combined with an unrestricted engine.

Thanks!

That track plan is basically what the training session does as well.

LAST sign on the right?  Good gried, that would put me into the wall for
sure :)

I'm talking about the final corner before the straight.  The flat one.  The
one with all the wrecked race cars piled up behind the wall :)

You have to brake at marker 2 at this corner.
