Is there any consensus as to which are the best and/or most accurate sounds
for the car engines in GPL.
I have downloaded two sets and while the Lotus sound is excellent in both
the rest of them are no very too impressive.
I'll send you my set, if you like - just a compilation of my favorites,
and for the soundpak modified GPL for individual car sounds.
I think the only original sound is the Ferrari (just too glorious as
is). I used a V12 Ferrari GTO recorded sound for the Eagle, and took a
screaming Honda sound and converted it to 16bit stereo. I'll have to
track down all the original authors for credit. Most of the newer sets
seem to have a bit too much of a gimmick sound somewhere in them.

The sounds in this pack are simply awesome and processor friendly. By just
installing these new sounds i dropped my laptimes on every track by 1 to 2
seconds, they really make the difference because these sounds give you
better impression of car engines state than the original sounds. And they
surely sound great!
When you install the pack it will create a backup of your previous/original
sounds. I really recommend this pack to everyone.
