ICR Modem play problem...

by Tom Fisk | 751 Siebens | 6-42 » Sun, 01 May 1994 12:43:00

I am using a MultiTech 14.4 Pocket modem to try to connect to someone else to
try the 2-player features of ICR.  I do all of the setup to assure that the
baud rate is 9600, error detection and correction and data compression is
disabled in the init string.  However when I try to ANSWER or DIAL I get the
following message:  "Make sure your modem is turned on" and it returns to the
menu screen after a couple of seconds.

Now...this pocket modem has one of the 9-pin connectors.  Is ICR looking for
a specific line to be held high (DSR/DTR or CTS/RTS) that may not be available
in the 9-pin configuration?  Has anybody been using a 9-pin connection?
Anything special that needs to be done for this?

Thanks!  Tom.
